In Post Life, Song imagines the evolution of the human form in the distant future. In contrast to the curving forms of the inflating bodies, the figure depicted is rigidly geometric, his face, torso, and single leg bending into sharp triangular shapes. It moves angularly rather than expansively. Despite these differences in form, Song points to an enduring vitality between past and present human bodies, maintained in similarities of appearance and expressivity.
