Us No.2

《彼此 No.2》

Oil on Canvas

Two figures are pictured back-to-back within a diamond frame, not separated by a distinct boundary but rather one that curves and blurs into the other. While Song usually distinguishes inflating bodies by colors and outfit, here figures seem to meld into a singular body. In depicting the crowding of individuals in contemporary urban society, Us No. 2 explores the resulting tensions that emerge between diversity and conformity of ideas, opinions, and knowledge.
