Following the conceit that humankind is made in the image of a divine creator, he explores the supple form of a supreme expanding being. Its blue torso undulates over the canvas in a color that evokes a torrential sky, while a small head swims in the ocean-like expanse of the body. The movement and tone of the body’s figure purposely recall natural forms and phenomena, suggesting an affinity between the creative and generative potential of nature and that of humanity.
